My Gee, Michael Jackson
I love Michael Jackson.
I love his ideas, I love his songs. Above all, I love his dancing.
His dancing is by far the most amazing and captivating thing that any amateur could ever see.
I was one of those people who was fascinated by his dancing and his music, I watched Thriller many times at home on laserdisc,
(I’m sure there are quite a few people who know of its existence today)
and I still watch his music videos and live performances on YouTube to mourn his untimely death.
Traveling in Boston and NY
My third visit to New York was in the summer of 2013.
I don’t remember what show or movie it was, but I happened to be watching a documentary about him,
and it came out that the station where the BAD short film was shot is actually in New York City.
I had seen the BAD short film many times. I can’t believe that the place where they filmed it is actually there, and in NY!
I looked up “NY Michael Jackson BAD station” and it came up right away.

As a fan of his, I absolutely had to go there.
I immediately put it on my itinerary.

For example.
From Times Square (One of the most famous tourist attractions in NY that everyone knows.), in the middle of New York City,
you can take the A line of the Metro from the Times Square-42nd Street/Port Authority Bus Terminal station, which takes about 20 minutes.
The subway fare is $3 for a flat fare.
But if you use a rechargeable MetroCard, it’s $2.75 per trip.
Once you arrive at the station, get off the metro and go up the stairs from the platform, and you are already in the world of BAD.
To be precise, it is not the part of the station where you can go now that I photographed BAD.
In fact, there is an abandoned part of the station that is no longer in use. This is where the short film was shot.
Incidentally, He acted in the movie “The Wiz” at the same location before filming BAD.

I can’t say that I was exactly at the filming location, but the appearance is almost the same,
and although the exhaust vent that He used to take off the cover and bathe in the wind in BAD was not there,
I was immersed in the world of BAD as I leaned against the wall and listened to BAD on my iPod here.
However, while I was listening to a whole song, four police officers came out and stared at me as if they thought I was suspicious,
so I hurriedly ran away again toward the platform when the song ended.
I just wish they would have let me immerse myself in his world a little more slowly!
